Stanley Scholars Connects Kids to Camp

Stanley’s Summer at Stanley program is wildly popular with families throughout Denver; it serves about 1,200 students each year and features some of the most innovative and student-centered programs in town. About four years ago, the program started a small Stanley Scholars program for about 20 students who wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend camp due to financial limitations.

Stanley Scholars This week, VoyageDenver profiled Stanley Scholars’ development; over the last four years the program has grown by leaps and bounds. To bring in even more students to participate in Stanley’s unique programming, the Summer at Stanley team reaches out to child-focused non-profits around Denver and Aurora. Stanley Scholars collaborates with groups such as African Leadership Group, DenverKids.org, Kenzi’s Causes, Spring Institute for Intercultural Learning and Village Exchange Center.

Visit VoyageDenver for more on the story of Stanley Scholars and the people and British Primary characteristics that nurture its success.

You can learn more about participating in Stanley Scholars here. This registration season, all camp families were given an opportunity to contribute to the effort, too. If you’d like to add your support, contact the summer@stanleybps.org team.
