Please join our community to rally in the creation of the
Tim Barrier Amphitheater and Outdoor Classroom space!
Located between the gym and the pool, this new outdoor education area will feature performance space with seating, areas for small group learning and turf for unprogrammed play. This project will add so much to our campus, and we have worked hard to create a space that will feature contemporary equipment and natural areas that are sure to capture our students’ imagination, inspire creative performances and encourage gathering and connection.
We are also thrilled to take this opportunity to honor Tim Barrier, the founding head of our middle school and our head of school from 2007 – 2020. For 25 years, Tim worked to bring the British Primary philosophy to the middle school grades and shepherd our school through years of great growth and transition. Since Tim always has his guitar nearby, it is fitting that we honor him with a space that will inspire creativity from students of all ages.
The estimated cost to create the Barrier Amphitheater and Outdoor Classroom and enhance our campus with outdoor furnishings is $280,000. Thanks to some incredible generosity from current and alumni families, we have already raised $130,000 towards our goal! We are looking to raise another $150,000 over the next month so that we can complete construction this summer in time to utilize this space next fall as we kick off our 50th anniversary next year!
