Theater at Stanley is part of a larger curriculum built around creativity, collaboration, communication and growing independence. Students learn to inhabit a story, listen and respond to others, make creative choices and share their work with an audience.
As students grow, performances become increasingly ambitious, giving them opportunities to stretch themselves while contributing to the work of an ensemble.

An early opportunity to create, rehearse and experience the energy of performing together.

Students take on a full musical production as collaboration, responsibility and performance skills deepen.
6th Grade
Shakespeare
Students explore Shakespeare through study and performance, bringing language and character to life.
8th Grade
The 8th Grade Musical
A culminating Stanley experience that asks students to lead, collaborate and bring a major production to the stage.
Beyond the Main Stage
More ways to step into the spotlight.
Performance isn't limited to the major productions. Middle School students also share work through Cave open-mic shows, art-class bands and Stanley's annual Arts Festival.
Meet the Teacher
Lauren Luce
Middle School Drama Teacher
Before joining Stanley, Lauren worked with Rocky Mountain Theatre for Kids. She brings experience working with young performers in dramatic and musical productions and helps students develop their individual voices, interests and confidence on stage.
