We’re excited to get to know your child and your family. Here’s what to expect as you move through Stanley’s five-step admission process.
The Admission Process
Applying to school is a process. Getting to know your child shouldn’t feel like paperwork.
Stanley’s admission process gives us opportunities to learn about your child as a student and as a person, while giving your family opportunities to continue getting to know us.
You’ll complete five steps along the way, including an inquiry, a tour, an application, a student visit and a conversation with a member of our Admission Team.

How to Apply

Each part of the process helps us build a fuller picture of your child and gives your family another opportunity to learn about Stanley.

Fill out an inquiry form.
Tell us a little about your family by completing our brief online inquiry form. This is the best place to begin and helps our Admission Team connect you with the right information.

Tour our campus.
See Stanley in action and learn about our program and philosophy. In-person tours are offered on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and afternoons from late September through early January.
A live tour is required. Families may attend an in-person tour, schedule a Zoom tour or attend our Open House. The online video tour is a helpful preview, but does not fulfill this requirement.

Submit your application.
Complete the online application for the next school year. After submitting your application, you’ll be able to complete the supporting materials and schedule the remaining required steps through the parent portal.
If you are applying to multiple participating independent schools, Common Recommendation and Transcript Request forms can simplify this part of the process.

Schedule your child’s visit.
After you have submitted your application, you can schedule your child’s required student visit through the parent portal.
This visit gives us a chance to get to know your child beyond the information contained in an application and gives your child an opportunity to experience Stanley.
The student visit is separate from the prospective parent or caregiver tour and is part of your child’s completed application.

Attend a Parent/Guardian Follow-up Conference.
Following your child’s visit, you will have access through the parent portal to schedule a required 20-minute conference with a member of our Admission Team. This conversation helps us get to know your family better and gives you time to ask any final questions about your child’s application.

We invite you to tour our campus in person to learn more about Stanley’s program and philosophy. Tours are offered on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and afternoons from late September through early January.
If you are unable to tour in person, please call us at 303-261-1792 to schedule a Zoom tour. Zoom tours are offered outside our regular tour schedule.
You may also watch our video tour online for a preview of Stanley. Please note that the video does not replace an in-person or Zoom tour. A live tour, or attendance at our Open House, is required as part of the admission process.
Open House
Tour, meet and explore.
Our Open House is an opportunity to tour the school and meet teachers, administrators, parents and students. Families may attend the Open House in place of an individual tour.

After You Apply
Now it’s your child’s turn to experience Stanley.
Once your application has been submitted, you’ll be able to schedule your child’s required student visit through the parent portal. After the visit, the required Parent/Guardian Follow-up Conference gives your family and our Admission Team a final opportunity to connect.

Stanley British Primary School is among several independent schools using Common Recommendation and Transcript Request forms to reduce the workload for your student’s current teachers and school staff.

How the common forms work
Families only need to make one request to their child’s current teacher or teachers. This request may be made through the portal of any participating school after an application has been submitted.
Once the request has been sent, a “Link Common Form” button will appear in the applicant portals of the other eligible schools. Parents or guardians will need to select this button to link the forms to each school portal where they are applying.
Once the teacher submits the recommendation form, it will be sent to all linked schools and the corresponding checklist item will be marked complete in each school’s portal.
Before You Apply
Age eligibility.
Please review the age requirements for our youngest applicants.
Pre-K
Students must be 4 years old by October 1 to be eligible for Pre-K.
Kindergarten
Students must be 5 years old by September 15 to be eligible for kindergarten.
