Enrichment & Extended Day

Stanley's After-School Enrichment Program is designed to provide students with engaging and hands-on learning experiences beyond the classroom. This program offers a diverse range of enrichment classes, allowing students to explore new interests, develop skills, and have fun in a structured and supportive environment.  The 3-5 Grade Study Hall Program offers a quiet space after school to do homework. A Stanley faculty member will be available to answer questions and provide support as needed.

Enrichment Program Overview:

• Schedule: Held after school on designated days Monday-Friday (no Study Hall on Friday)
• Duration: Each session lasts from 3:00-4:15 pm
• Age Group: Enrichment is open to students in grades K - 5 (Ks can sign up starting the 2nd session). Study Hall is open to students in grades 3 - 5.
• Format: Students select from various enrichment classes based on their interests

A Sampling of the Enrichment Classes Offered at Stanley:

🌟  Cooking: Students learn basic culinary skills, kitchen safety, and simple, healthy recipes while developing a love for cooking.

🧘‍♀️  Yoga & Mindfulness: Helps students build flexibility, strength, and relaxation techniques to improve focus and well-being.

🧱  Lego Engineering: Encourages creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork through hands-on LEGO challenges and projects.

🎨 Arts & Crafts: Allows students to express themselves through painting, drawing, sculpting, and other creative activities.

🏀 Sports & Fitness: Includes a variety of physical activities such as soccer, basketball, tennis, golf, hula hoops and team-building games to promote an active lifestyle.

💃 Dance: Students explore different dance styles, including hip-hop, jazz, and cultural dances, while improving coordination and confidence.

🔬 STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math): Hands-on experiments and activities that encourage critical thinking, innovation, and a love for learning.

Stanley British Primary School’s Extended Day Program is a before and after-school childcare program licensed by Colorado’s Department of Environmental Health and Human Services. This document is a companion to the Stanley Family Handbook and does not stand alone.
