In 1972, educator Carolyn Hambidge and former Colorado First Lady Bea Romer helped establish a British Primary demonstration classroom at Montview Community Preschool in Denver.
The program was designed as a laboratory model for a different kind of education, one grounded in curiosity, relationships, independence, discovery and respect for each child's development.
