Ego vs. Soul in Youth Sports
March 2018: Sports policy director for the League of Fans, a sports reform project started by Ralph Nader, Ken Reed gave a presentation to parents to help tackle some common struggles with sports and kids: "How much is too much at different ages?" "How do we recognize healthy and unhealthy sports programs and coaching styles?" If you weren't able to join us, Ken has published books on the subject, shares a reflection on How You Play the Game and a Sports Enjoyment Scorecard for parents and kids.
Sources of Strength - Raising Kids with Resilience

"Waking Up White" Community Conversation
September 2017: Racial justice educator and writer, Debby Irving’s book “Waking up White, and Finding Myself in the Story of Race” was written during a period of discovery and insight that drastically shifted her worldview and upended her life plan. Our school community delved into the book and welcomed Debby here to facilitate a conversation with Stanley parents, teachers and guests from other schools, bookclubs and friends of Stanley.
